Mrs. Anna Marie (Hale) Emmert, age 77, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at her home. She was born in Fountain Run on April 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Jesse Arthur and Mertie Jane (Key) Hale. On July 16th of 1966, she married Morris Cleve Emmert, who preceded her in death on June 12, 1986. She worked as an engineer for Osh Kosh, and retired from Carhartt Industries. Anna Marie enjoyed a variety of music, scrapbooking, and sharing memories and stories with her grandchildren. Anna Marie had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed making comical jewelry for her daughter. She truly loved her family.
Her children survive her; Nanette Thomas, Terry Emmert and his wife Tammy of Tompkinsville, Valerie Beam and her husband Phillip of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and a son-in-law, Lynn Thomas. Three sisters; Debbie Garrett of Temple Hill, Nancy Duff of Bowling Green, and Wanda Russell of Tompkinsville, two brothers; Ralph Hale and wife Pamela of Bardwell, Kentucky, and Wayne Hale and wife Denise of Scottsville. Six grandchildren; Savannah Watkins and her husband Tyler, Haden Thomas, Dalton Emmert, Deaton Emmert, Andrew Beam, and Charlie Beam, along with two great-grandchildren; Carson Tyler Watkins, and Clayton Thomas Watkins also survive.
In addition to her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters; Judy Cherry, and Diane Hale, and four brothers-in-law; Mike Garrett, Gerald Cherry, Dennis Duff, and Junior Russell.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, and again on Monday morning from 8:00 until time for services at 1:00 p.m.
Memorial Contributions may be made to KODA or St. Jude’s in memory of Anna Marie.
