Bessie Sue (Tooley) Griffith

Bessie Sue (Tooley) Griffith, age 54, of Montgomery, Alabama formerly of Tompkinsville passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Baptist East Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama. She was born on July 24, 1967, the daughter of the late Janet Sue (Dunn) and Morris Cecil Tooley. She was a member of Evangel Temple in Montgomery, Alabama. Bessie was a proud Veteran of the United States Army, serving as an aircraft electrician, she took great pride in her career, and studied as a programmer at Western Kentucky University. She was united in marriage to Ralph Griffith on May 23, 2004. She loved her hobbies which included gardening, home remodeling, and auto mechanic work.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Ralph Griffith; two brothers, Ricky and Larry Tooley both of Tompkinsville; one sister, Bettie Tooley, of Cantonville, Maryland; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and a host of special cousins also survive.  She loved her family and friends dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil, Randy, and Phillip Tooley.

Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 19, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until the time for services at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated by the family for the final expenses of Mrs. Griffith and may be made at the funeral home.
