Beverly Ruth Thompson

Ms. Beverly Ruth Thompson, age 64, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Monroe County Medical Center surrounded by her family.  Beverly was born in Tompkinsville on August 9, 1959, a daughter of the late Clint E and Anna Jean (Emmert) Thompson.  She was a 1977 Graduate of Tompkinsville High School. She later attained an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, and worked for Southern Medical Lab until 2015.  Bev was known for her big personality, and could light up any room with her smile and laughter.  

She is survived by her children, Amber Walden and husband Casey, and Clint Dangerfield, of Tompkinsville, two granddaughters, McKinnley Turner Scott and husband Cole of Glasgow, and Landri Walden of Tompkinsville, one grandson, CJ Walden and wife Ashley of Glasgow, two great-grandsons; Ripp and Guss Scott, and one great-granddaughter, Rayleigh Walden.  She is also survived by her siblings, J. E. Thompson, Jackie Thompson, Larry Thompson and wife Debbie, Michael Thompson and wife Doris, Stacy Miller and husband David all of Tompkinsville, and Betty Davis and husband Roger of Bowling Green. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Mark Thompson.  

Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Jane Yokley Cemetery.  Tim McHenry will be officiating the service.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jane Yokley Cemetery or to Hosparus of Barren River in memory of Beverly.
