Bonnie Jean Graves

Mrs. Bonnie Jean (Copas) Graves, age 83, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at TJ Samson Regional Health in Glasgow. Bonnie was born in Tompkinsville, on October 2, 1940 the daughter of the late Jarrett D. and Bessie Waller Copas. Over the years she was a member of the Etoile Homemakers, and spent her free time quilting, working puzzles, and making floral arrangements. She was a member of the Friendship Missionary Baptist church. 

She is survived by her husband; Franklin Mars “Butch” Graves of Tompkinsville, daughter; Carla McClard Dismon and husband Joe of Fountain Run, two grandsons; Wesley Dismon and wife Joni, and Cody Dismon and wife Hannah. Also surviving is great-grandson Will Dismon, and her brother; Doug Copas. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband George Carlos McClard, two sisters; Lucille Bartley and husband Cecil, and Cloeteel Turner and husband Addis, and three brothers; Buford Copas and wife Ina, Glen Copas and wife Irma, and Marlin Copas and wife Francis. 

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Caney Fork Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Tim Eaton and Bro. Doug Copas will be officiating the service. 

The family will receive friends and family on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday morning after 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home.
