Mr. Bryan Richard Dyer, age 88, of The Bugtussle Community of Monroe County, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Monroe County Medical Center.  Bryan was born on January 5, 1935, the son of the late William Robert and Anice Dowell (McDonald) Dyer.  He married Judy Ann Crabtree on September 5, 1960, she preceded him in death on August 3, 2014.  Bryan worked for J. I. Hass Construction Company for over forty years and was a member of Painters Local Union 156. After retirement, Bryan enjoyed farming, and spending time with his family.   He was a member of the Corinth Church of Christ in Macon County, Tennessee.

His three daughters survive him; Rita Dyer McLerran, of Gamaliel, Connie Dyer King and husband Joel, Carol Dyer Hall, and husband Tim, both of Tompkinsville.  Ten grandchildren; Jamie Veach, Jodi Veach Shipley, Stephen Dyer, Wesley Dyer, Justin King, Matt Dyer, Ethan King, Taylor McLerran, Trevor Hall, Dylan Hall, and fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

In addition to his parents, and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Dyer, two sisters, and five brothers.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel, with burial to follow in Corinth Gardens in Macon County, Tennessee. Bro. Dale Strong and Bro. Jermey Yokley will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel, and again on Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers: Jamie Veach, Stephen Dyer, Wesley Dyer, Matthew Dyer, Taylor McLerran, Justin King, Ethan King, Trevor Hall, and Dylan Hall

Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Yokley, Harold Wheeler, Leon Crabtree, Bobby Chapman, Carl Jr. McLerran, Halen Green, and Garrett Veach

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Monroe County Backpack Program or Corinth Gardens in memory of Bryan Dyer.

Bartley & Sons Gamaliel Chapel is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Dyer and his family during this time.
