Obituary Carroll Ray Goolsby, 61, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020, at the Monroe County Medical Center. He was born in Muncie, Indiana on May 21, 1959, the son of the late Floyd and Pernie (Harper) Goolsby. Carroll was a faithful employee of Walmart of Tompkinsville, Kentucky for 22 years. He was a kind and caring person who loved spending time with his family and friends. Carroll will be missed but not forgotten. Carroll is survived by two brothers; Terry Goolsby and wife Diane of Eustis, Florida and Kerry Goolsby and wife Linda of Marana, Arizona; two sisters, Andrea Sue Simmons and husband Bobby of Waxahachie, Texas and Vivian Fox and husband Joe of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother-in-law, Dan Smith of Louisa, Kentucky; many nieces and nephews that loved him, Conan Goolsby, Eric Goolsby, Devin Goolsby, Logan and wife Ann Marie Goolsby, Kyle Simmons and wife Jenny, Andy Goolsby, Steven Simmons, Jessica Smith, Sara Smith, and Preslee Henry, Michelle, and Thomas Shanahan; a great-niece Scarlett Simmons and a great-nephew Weston Simmons also survives. Carroll also had several special aunts that he cherished Libby Harper of Tompkinsville, Connie Frick of Mahomet, Illinois, and Jean Bunch of Edmonton, Kentucky. He was also loved by many cousins, friends, and wonderful co-associates from Walmart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Goolsby, and one sister, Trisha (Goolsby) Smith. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky from 10:00 am till 8:00 pm and will continue on Friday morning after 8:00 am until time for services at 2:00 pm. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Gamaliel Cemetery in memory of Carroll and can be made at Anderson-Bartley Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. ***Due to COVID- 19 masks are required and no PUBLIC lounge is available***     To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Carroll Ray Goolsby, please visit our floral store.
