Obituary Charles Earl Hale, 76 of Tompkinsville passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.He was born March 4, 1940 in Monroe County, KY to the late Earl George Turner Hale and Ersie Glaydus White Hale. He was a retired electronic technician for Beldin, a member of Tompkinsville First Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, he served in the National Guard Btry A 4th How Bn 138th Arty and he was a member of Masonic Lodge 753. He and Bernard Pickerell built and operated the first cable television company in Tompkinsville in the late 60's. He was united in marriage on June 6, 1965 to the former Patsy Lee Copass.He is survived by his wife: Pat Copass Hale, three sons: Todd Hale, Steve Hale and wife Sandy, Scott Hale and wife Teresa, one sister Sherlie Stephens all of Tompkinsville, four grandchildren: Hannah Tinsley Hale, Hunter James Charles Hale, Taylor Jean Hale and Mahala Grace Rich, several nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister: Betty Allen, two nephews: Michael Earl Hammer and Lance Louis Lacer.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, November 17 at 2:30 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn with Military rites performed at graveside by DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.Visitation will be after 2:30 PM on Wednesday and after 7:30 AM on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Masonic services will be Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.Memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
