Obituary Charles L. Thomas, 76, of Mt. Hermon, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born October 22, 1937 in Monroe County, KY to the late Carroll Irving Thomas and Imo Beatrice Hunt Thomas. He was a retired school bus driver, GE Worker and farmer and an Army Veteran. He was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, H.A.M. Henderson Lodge #515 and Bethlehem Eastern Star #538. He was united in marriage on February 13, 1960 to the former Etta Eldridge. He is survived by his wife: Etta Eldridge Thomas of Mt. Hermon, one son: Joseph Thomas of Glasgow, two daughters: Tammie Ward and Pam Thomas both of Glasgow, one brother: Burl Thomas of Tompkinsville,11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 24 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Tuesday and after 7:30 AM on Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Bethlehem Cemetery.
