Obituary Clint "Joe" Anderson, 82, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Signature Healthcare of Monroe in Tompkinsville.He was born March 16, 1933 in Monroe County, KY to the late Abraham Anderson and Mattie Biggerstaff Anderson. He was a retired McMillian Ferry Boat operator for the state having worked 381/2 years and a member of Turkey Neck Bend Church of Christ. He was married to the former Wilma Joyce Melton.He is survived by his wife: Wilma Joyce Anderson, of Tompkinsville, one son: Dr. Jack Anderson and wife Melanie of Tompkinsville, two daughters: Sharon Murray and husband Jerry of Burkesville, Karen Bartley and husband Ricky of Tompkinsville, two sisters: Glenda Boone of Celina, TN, Brenda Welch of Lebanon, TN, six grandchildren: Thomas Murray, Elizabeth Murray, Chelsea Hammer, Caleb Anderson, Mattie Anderson, Sophie Anderson, one step grandson: Matthew Bartley, one step great granddaughter: Rosie Bartley and unborn great grandson: Anderson Kade Hammer.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Barlow and Walter Anderson.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 27 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be after 1:00 PM on Friday and after 7:30 AM on Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
