Roger Dale “Frog” Ford, 70, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away Friday, April 24, at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Frog was born in Monroe County on May 28, 1955, a son of the late Clarice (Frazier) and Issac Kimble Ford. He was in law enforcement for forty-eight years serving as Tompkinsville Chief of Police for ten years and Sheriff of Monroe County for twelve years.

Frog is survived by his wife of twenty-one years Ronda (Farley) Ford, a daughter, Kimberly Dale Arnett, and husband Shannon, two sons, Chris Ford and wife Terri Beth, and Sean Ford, a step daughter, Shelby Burgess, and husband Jesse, and a step son, Alex Bartley, and wife Makensey; all of Tompkinsville; eight grandchildren, Blakely and Austen Arnett, Westin, Luke, and Kenleigh Ford, Hadley Jane and Nolan Burgess and Rory Bartley.

Frog is also survived by two sisters, Alyne Strode, of Tompkinsville: Faye Fuqua of Powell, Tennessee; one brother, William Arnett, of Louisville, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by brothers, Rudolph, Dennis, Denver, H.C. and Joe Edd Ford, Glen and Jerry Arnett and Darrell Ford; sisters, Bernice Keller, Margie Geiger, Nina Lois Ford, Lorraine Yegelwel, Barbara Bray, Clorene Ford, and Wilma Dean Arnett.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Mt. Poland Cemetery. Bro. Shannon Arnett will officiate the services.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 11:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association Boys and Girls Ranch. Those may be made at the Funeral Home.
