David "Smiley" Jeremy Wheeler

David “Smiley” Jeremy Wheeler, age 44, of Bugtussle, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2022, at his home. He was born on April 11, 1978, the son of Johnny & Quietera (Armer) Wheeler. He graduated from Monroe County High School Class of 1997. He enjoyed working with his hands, whether it be woodworking, or tearing down an engine, he enjoyed it.

He is survived by one daughter, Ellison Rae Wheeler of Gamaliel; his parents, Johnny and Quietera Wheeler of Bugtussle; eight brothers, Reggie Wheeler of Columbus, Ohio, Ronnie Wheeler and wife Pauletta of Moss, Tennessee, Terry Wheeler and wife Angie, Carline “Tinker” Wheeler, Johnny Wheeler and wife Angela all of Tompkinsville, Jeff Wheeler of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, Jackie Wheeler of Glasgow, and Todd Wheeler and wife Terry Mai of Gamaliel; three sisters, Carol Wheeler, Pinky Wood and husband Wade both of Gamaliel and Joanna Geralds and husband Roger of Bugtussle; several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Hubert and Hazel (Ford) Wheeler, and his maternal grandparents, David Henry and Flossie (LeMasters) Armer.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial, to follow in the Wheeler Cemetery in Bugtussle. Jason Holland will officiate the service.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 16 after 4:00 p.m. and Saturday morning after 7:00 a.m. until the time for the service.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie, Terry, “Tinker”, Jeff, Jackie, Todd, and Johnny Wheeler.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Geralds, Wade Wood, Jason Holland, John Ed Howard, Jerry Yokley, Brian Dyer, David Armer, Stephen Dyer, and Harold Wheeler.
