Diane Clarkson

Mrs. Diane Gibson Clarkson, age 64, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family. Diane was born in Nashville, Tennessee on December 3, 1958, a daughter of the late Joe Hugh Gibson and Marcia Elizabeth Emmert.  She was a 1977 graduate of Tompkinsville High School and married Keith Clarkson on July 7, 1977.  Mrs. Diane was a Day Care Provider for thirty-two years with the Wee Care Daycare Program in Monroe County. She was a member of Monroe Baptist Church and had an everlasting love for her family.

Mrs. Diane is survived by her husband of forty-six years, Keith Clarkson, two children; Mary Grace Howard and husband John Ed of Fountain Run, and Ryan Clarkson and wife Laura of Plano, Kentucky, three grandchildren; John Grayson Howard, Ledger Thomas Clarkson, and Naomi Grace Clarkson. Four nieces; Kelsea Dowsley, Emily Hensley, Katie Clement, and Karen Kelly, two nephews; Chris Bartley, and Michael Conkin in addition to several great nieces and great nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Joe Hugh Gibson, and Marcia Elizabeth Emmert, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Debbie Kelly and Donna Conkin Jenkins.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in the Fountain Run Cemetery. Bro. Kevin Anderson and Randy Williams will officiate the services.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Sunday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Monroe County Backpack Program and can be made at the funeral home.
