Obituary Donald Leon "Andy" Anderson, 79, of Tompkinsville passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his home.He was born Otober19, 1937 in Monroe County to the late Blaine Leon Anderson and Verna Jane Piercy Anderson. He was a retired professional meat cutter and farmer, he attended Oak Hill Church of Christ and was a US Army Veteran. He was united in marriage on November14, 1965 to the former Barbara Smith.He is survived by his wife Barbara Smith Anderson of Tompkinsville, one son: Leslie Alan Hickox of White House, TN, two daughters: Cynthia Helm of Dallas, TX, Patricia Jane Anderson of Louisville, one brother: David Eagle Anderson of Columbus, OH, two grandchildren: Heather Joy Gregory, DeLanie Hickox, three great grandchildren: Kelsey, Ethan and Kendall Gregory.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two daughters: Joan and Jean Anderson, one brother: Darrell Wayne Anderson, one sister: Patricia Ann Wenzel and one brother-in-law: Dr. Alfred Wenzel.Cremation was chosen by the family.Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville in charge of arrangements.
