Obituary James "Jim" Cleo Finley, Sr., 76, of Tompkinsville, went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 15, 2016 at his home.He was born June 5, 1939 in Monroe County, KY to the late Cleo Finley and Nell Proffitt Finley. He was a retired truck driver, a farmer and a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church. He was united in marriage on January 30, 1960 to the former Demetra Ford.He is survived by his wife: Demetra Ford Finley, of Tompkinsville, one son: James C. "Jimbo" Finley, Jr. and wife Cathy of Burkesville, two grandchildren: Kalee Mullican and husband Paul and James C. Finley III "Trey" all of Smithville, TN and a special niece: Tracy Ford Murphy of Tompkinsville, brothers-in-law: Bill Blythe of Mooresville, IN, Leon Ford and wife Dit of Alabama and Larry Ford of Haines City, FL.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son: Joseph Finley, one brother: Charles Clay Finley and one sister: Ann Blythe.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, February 18 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and after 7:30 AM on Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or Mill Creek Relay for Life Team.
