Mr. James Ronald "Jim" Goldsmith, age 84, of Glasgow, Kentucky, entered into the presence of the Lord on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, surrounded by his family. Jim was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 9, 1941, a son of the late James Mack and Erma (LeMaster) Goldsmith. He married Florence "Flo" on June 11, 1966, and worked for Victor Mathis Florist for nearly thirty years, and later retired from Jefferson County Schools after nearly thirty years there. Jim was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Glasgow, a proud Kentucky Colonel, he enjoyed flowers, and gardening. Jim is survived by three daughters; Vicki Burke and her husband Randy, of Coldwater, Michigan, Dana Murphy and her husband Stacey of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and Jennifer Mitchell, and her husband Dennis of Glasgow, Kentucky. Ten grandchildren, who referred to him as “Pap,” Ashley Angel, Nick, and Dakota Burke, Matthew and wife Lauren Murphy, Michael and wife Erin Murphy, and Mark and wife Kate Murphy, Dylan and wife Raychel Mitchell, Jansenne, Seth, and Beau Mitchell, and six great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to his parents; James Mack and Erma (LeMaster) Goldsmith, and his wife of fifty-six years, Florence "Flo" Effi (Howard) Goldsmith, he was preceded in death by six siblings.

Private Family Services will be held on Monday, May 5, 2025, at Bartley and Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial in Skaggs Creek Cemetery at a later date.
