Obituary James "Jim" B. Grider, 64, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.He was born August 7, 1950 in Barren County, KY to Jennie Mae Pinkley Grider and the late Randall Grider. He was a member of Tompkinsville Church of Christ and a transportation route supervisor for Monroe County Board of Education. He was united in married on November 21, 1980 to the former Margaret Nell Honeycutt.He is survived by his wife: Margaret Nell Honeycutt Grider, mother: Jennie Mae Grider, two sons: Jeff Cornelius and wife Amanda all of Tompkinsville, Jonathan Cornelius of West Palm Beach, FL, one daughter: Jennifer McClard of Tompkinsville, one sister: Jane Nevins of Nashville, TN, seven grandchildren: Brittney McCoy, Bradley Cornelius, Grayson Harlan, Cole Harlan, Courtney Cornelius, Makayla Cornelius and Khloe Cornelius, two great grandchildren; Ava James Ballard, Emilee Jade McCoy, one niece: Jennifer Burton and one nephew: Andrew Nevins both of Nashville.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 12 at 1:30 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be after 4:30 PM on Saturday and after 7:30 AM on Sunday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the Hope Lodge, 2008 Charlotte Ave., Nashville, TN 37203 To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of James "Jim" Bratton Grider please visit our Sympathy Store.
