Obituary James Wilson Shaw, 70, of Tompkinsville, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.He was born June 13, 1945 in Monroe County, KY to the late Clyde Wilson Shaw and Effie Etta Moore Shaw. He was a farmer and a member of Flippin Church of Christ. He was united in marriage on August 25, 1969 to the former Linda Isenberg.He is survived by his wife: Linda Isenberg Shaw of Tompkinsville, one daughter: Katrina Clarkson and husband Timmy of Tompkinsville, three brothers: Carlie Shaw and wife Nedia of Gamaliel, Leroy Shaw and Ronnie Shaw and special friend Jerlene Ashley all of Millwood, KY, two sisters: Anna Kirkpatrick of Clarksville, IN, Lola Bredhold and husband Jerry of Mt. Washington, KY, two grandchildren: Jordan Adams and Cassie Clarkson and two great-grandchildren: Autumn and James Timothy Adams.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Cordell Shaw and one sister: Connie Trout.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 12 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Hestand.Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Monday and after 7:30 AM on Tuesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
