Jason Wayne King

Mr. Jason Wayne King, age 48, of Glasgow, Kentucky and formerly of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, August 17, 2026, at his parents’ home in Monticello. Jason was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, on April 26, 1978, the son of Kermit Wayne and Rhonda Sue (Scott) King. Jason enjoyed gaming and was an avid reader and YouTuber. He was a 1996 graduate of Monroe County High School.

He is survived by his parents, Kermit and Rhonda Scoot King, of Monticello, one nephew, Owen Mason King of North Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Yvonne Bessie King along with a host of aunts, uncles and extended family.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jared Ryan King; Maternal grandparents, Quint and Ann Scott and paternal grandfather Ralph King.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 20th, 2026, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jason.
