Jerry Henson

Jerry Henson, age 78, who grew up in Monroe County passed away on March 2, 2022, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, Kentucky. He was born on February 3, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Lucy Jane Capps and Eular Wade Henson.  Jerry entered the United States Army and proudly served for eighteen years. He was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church and was an avid UK basketball fan.

He is survived by one sister Nina Mayes of Florida; two grandsons, Bryan and Ryan Henson; several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Helen Juanita (Harris) Henson; one son, James Wade Henson; two sisters, Margie Marie Henson and Helen Sue Andrews.

Funeral services will be 4:00 pm Sunday, March 6 at Bartley and Sons Funeral Home with burial in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Bro. Gene Gearlds will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 6 from 2:00 pm until the time for the service at 4:00 pm.
