Mr. David Crowe, age 82, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at The Hospice House of Southern Kentucky. He was surrounded by his family. David was born in Tompkinsville on January 21, 1944, the son of the late Hanley and Eunice Dorothy (Netherton) Crowe.
He was a 1962 graduate of Tompkinsville High School and retired from General Telephone Electronics (GTE) after twenty-seven years of service. A devoted member and Elder of the Germany Church of Christ, David faithfully served the Lord throughout his life. In addition to his service within the church, he dedicated himself to helping others and giving back to his community—often in ways that no one ever knew. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand reflected his deep faith and love for people. He enjoyed fishing trips and took great pride in his garden, but most of all, he cherished time spent with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Pamela Kay (Doud) Crowe of Tompkinsville; two sons, Kevin David Crowe and wife Carol, and Kristopher Dodd Crowe and fiancée Melanie Belcher of Bowling Green; four grandchildren, Augusta Kay Crowe, Kenzie Lenore Shultz and husband Daniel, David William Crowe and wife Brooklyn, and Laila Rose Crowe. One sister, Evadine Hagan and husband Kenneth “Shorty,” and one brother-in-law, Dennis Doud and wife Debbie, also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Valley Stockton, Dela Vern Schemeck, and Sally Slaughter; and three brothers, Adrian Crowe, Glenn Crowe, and Wilburn Crowe.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Monroe County Memorial Lawn, with interment to follow. Tim McHenry will officiate the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in memory of David.
Pallbearers: David William Crowe, Brent Leuthold, Kenneth “Shorty” Hagan, Daniel Shultz, and Brett Crowe.
Bartley & Sons Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Crowe and his family during this time.
