Lera Mae Ryherd

Obituary Lera Mae England Ryherd, 88, of Gamaliel, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at her home. She was born February 21, 1925 in Monroe County, KY to the late John Harvey England and Vada Lee Proffitt England. She was a homemaker and a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church since November 17, 1937. She was united in marriage on August 10, 1946 to Carl Edwin Ryherd who preceded her in death on January 29, 2013. She is survived by three sons: Charles Ryherd and wife Joyce, Wade Ryherd and wife Joy and Barry Ryherd and wife Bonnie all of Gamaliel, one daughter: Judith Bartley and husband Tommy of Gamaliel, one brother: J.H. England of Franklin, KY, 7 grandchildren 5 step grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 8 step great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son: Carlie Ryherd, one daughter-in-law: Barbara Ryherd, seven brothers: Sylvan, Avery, Dallas England and four infant brothers and two sisters: Arna England and Vera McConnell. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 14 at 11:00 AM at Indian Creek Baptist Church with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Visitation will be after 2:00 PM on Thursday at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel and after 9:30 AM on Friday at Indian Creek Baptist Church.
