Steve Curtis

Steve Curtis, age 71 of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born on April 24, 1950, the son of the late Lester Clarence and Maxine (Vance) Curtis. Steve was a 1967 graduate of Tompkinsville High School. He married Carolyn Joyce Butler on October 2, 1976. Carolyn passed away on December 28, 2019. He attended Tompkinsville First Baptist Church. Steve served on the Monroe County Tourism, Monroe County Historical/Bicentennial committee/EDC board/ and he was currently serving as President of the Heart of Tompkinsville Committee

He is survived by one son, Brad Curtis of Tompkinsville; one brother-in-law, Joe Fred Butler (Betty Jo Hall) of Tompkinsville; one sister, Linda Dodson and husband Marrs of Turkey Neck Bend; one niece, Kim Walden and husband Chris of Turkey Neck Bend; one nephew, Jason Dodson and wife Amy of Moss, Tennessee; one great-nephew, Will Dodson also survive.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his spouse, Carolyn Joyce (Butler) Curtis.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Monroe County Memorial Lawn. Jason Dodson will officiate the service.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Sunday morning after 8:00 am until time for the services at 1:00 pm.

Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the Yokley Cemetery in memory of Mr. Curtis.
