Obituary Mary Matilda Taylor Holcomb Tate, 84, of Gamaliel, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at the Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville. She was born January 19, 1929 in Monroe County, KY to the late James Otto Taylor and Mary Miranda Combs Taylor. She was a retired employee of Caterpillar Co. in Decatur, IL and a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons: Michael Edwin Holcomb of Glasgow, Troy Taylor Tate of Warrensburg, IL, one daughter: Judy Elaine Boyce of Enon, OH11 grandchildren 10 great-grandchildren In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers: James E. Taylor and John Mitchell Taylor and two sisters: Catherine Wiley and Mallie Belle Voll. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 14 at 11:00 AM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.
