Melandy Johnson

Mrs. Melandy (Daniels) Johnson, age 55, of Tompkinsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, Kentucky. Melandy was born on August 6, 1969, in Tompkinsville, a daughter of the late James Carl and Lois Janell (Bryant) Daniels. She was a 1987 graduate of Tompkinsville High School. She was attending the Mud Lick Church of Christ East and was previously a member at Waterview Church of Christ and Mud Lick Church of Christ West. Melandy had a love for everyone she met with her outgoing and friendly personality and loved flower gardening and her fur-babies.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Randall Johnson of Tompkinsville, one son, J.R. Johnson and wife Amber of Tompkinsville, one daughter, Haley Johnson and husband David Owusu of Lexington. Two grandsons, Gabriel and Samuel Johnson of Tompkinsville. One sister, Beckie Daniel Hill and husband Russell of Morgantown, Indiana, two nieces, April (Daniel) Breneman and husband Mark of Clayton, Indiana, and Kassidy Hill of Morgantown, Indiana. Three great-nieces; Evie, Audra, Ezlyn Breneman, and a host of extended family and close friends also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Lois Joeanna Daniels, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Mud Lick Church of Christ Cemetery. Brad Shaw, Raymond Castillo, and Jonathan Page will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home and again on Friday morning after 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to assist with final expenses, those may be made at the funeral home.
