Obituary Mitchell Shirley, 68, of Tompkinsville, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at the Bowling Green Nursing and Rehab in Bowling Green, KY.He was born June 11, 1947 in Tompkinsville to the late Mitchell Shirley Sr. and the late Mary Tooley Shirley. He is survived by two sons: Alex "Al" Shirley and Fred Shirley both of Tompkinsville, KY one daughter: Mary Claire Shirley of Glasgow, KY, one sister: Vanna Lee Bennett of Tompkinsville, KY seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife: Sarah Ann Grooms Shirley and one sister: Rosie Lee Coe. A family and friends get-together to honor Mitchell will be announced at a later time. Cremation has been chosen by the family. Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville in charge of arrangements.
