Oval Thompson Myers

Oval (Thompson) Myers, 91, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee, formerly of Mt. Hermon, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, August 17th, at her residence. She was born on September 25, 1930, a daughter of the late Cassie Isabell (Williams) and Hugh Burton Thompson, and was the youngest of nine children. She was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Oval married Robert Myers who preceded her in death on October 20, 2008.  Oval retried from HGP in Indiana and was a homemaker who raised a family of six children.

Oval is survived by a daughter, Loretta Celsor, and husband Ron, of Castalian Springs, Tennessee; two sons, Jimmy Capps and Cornell Capps and his wife Betty, both of Indianapolis, Indiana; twenty grandchildren; over 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Robert Myers; two sons, Ronald Capps & Donald Keller; one daughter, Wanda Capps; four sisters, Myrtle Thomas, Marie Capshaw, Polly Bowman, and Bessie Denton; four brothers; Robert, Avery, Grady, and Travis Thompson; one grandson, David Clarkson and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky with burial to follow in the Bailey Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Saturday morning after 8:00 am until the service at 1:00 pm.
