Runelle Scott Howard

Mrs. Runelle (Anderson) Scott Howard, age 88, of Gamaliel, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Barren County Nursing and Rehabilitation in Glasgow.  Runelle was born in Monroe County, on May 9, 1935, a daughter of the late Clay and Annie (Huffines) Anderson. She married Claude Allen Scott, who preceded her in death on December 5, 1996.   Runelle was a homemaker, she loved taking care of her children, grandchildren and cooking for her family.  She was a member of the Gamaliel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Rondal O. Howard, one son, Barry Scott, and his wife Shelly of Tompkinsville, four stepchildren: Randy Howard, Charles Howard, Peggy Davidson, and Jennifer Kirk. One sister, Wanda Cornelius, and one brother, Clay Anderson, Jr.; Two grandchildren, McKayla Burnett, and husband Stephen, and Stephany Gosnell, one great-grandchild, Bailor Burnett, along with one on the way also survive. 

In addition to her parents, and husband, Claude Allen Scott, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Denise Gosnell, four sisters: Blanche Lyon, Vivan Presley, Ree Edson, and Allene Allen, and three brothers, Leroy, Billy Joe, and Clifton Anderson.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Monroe County Memorial Lawn, with burial to follow.  Bro. Danny Pace will officiate the service.
