Sharon Marena Newport

Ms. Sharon Marena Newport, age 61, of Gamaliel, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at her residence. Sharon was born in Tompkinsville, on January 21, 1963, a daughter of the late Charles Mitchell and Barbara Ann (Ritter) Newport. She enjoyed traveling, and was a member of the Indian Creek Baptist Church.

Sharon is survived by two nephews; Michael Newport and wife Jessica of Alvaton, and Christopher Newport and wife Kristen of Glasgow, one niece, Tiffany Massingale and husband Aaron of Lafayette, Tennessee. Four great-nieces and nephews; Corbin Ray Massingale, Charles Waylon Newport, Kenzlee Paige Massingale, and Elijah Coe Newport.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kerry Newport.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024, at Gamaliel Cemetery, with burial to follow. Bro. Billy Michael Stinson will officiate the service.
