Steven Royce Copass

Mr. Steven Royce Copass, age 70, of Gamaliel, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at NHC Healthcare in Glasgow, Kentucky. Steven was born on May 6, 1955, a son of the late Asber Duncan and Bassie Reable (Webb) Copass. He was a 1973 graduate of Gamaliel High School, and married Susan (Hale) Copass on May 23, 1997. Steven spent most of his life working in the sawmill and doing industrial repair work.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Hale) Copass, of Gamaliel, three daughters; Mary Etta Hinkle (AJ) of Summer Shade, Elizabeth Wright (Terry) of Glasgow, and Lori Bowles (Marcus Copeland) of Tompkinsville. Eight grandchildren; Jacob Hinkle, Jared Hinkle, Jaxzen Bowles, Kyleigh Bowles, Ainsleigh Bowles, Kohen Polston, Corbin Wright (PJ), and Wyatt Wright, and one great-grandchild, Atlas Hinkle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Levi Tag Walden.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Tony Strong will officiate the service.

Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday afternoon after 3:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with final expenses, and those may be made at the funeral home.
