Susie Finley Dunn

Mrs. Susie Finley Dunn, 67, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice House in Glasgow, Kentucky. Susie was born in Tompkinsville on November 17, 1957, a daughter of the late Hugh Bedford and Martha Garnett (Richardson) Finley.

She was a 1975 graduate of Cumberland County High School, and obtained her Masters and Rank I, from Western Kentucky University. She married Paul Wayne Dunn in May of 1983, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2000. Susie retired from The Monroe County Board of Education, after serving thirty-seven years as a bus driver and twenty-five years as a teacher. Susie loved to cook, and enjoyed gardening, and attending concerts with friends and family, and listening to music.

She is survived by her two children, Ashley Dunn and Fiancé, Garnett Whitlow, of Bowling Green, and Nick Dunn and wife Haley of Tompkinsville, two grandsons, Louie Benjamin and Benny Wayne Dunn, one sister, Jane Coffey and husband Danny of Russellville, Kentucky, two nephews, Chris Coffey and wife Pam of East Lansing, Michigan, and Chuck Coffey and wife Lauren of Bowling Green, and her companion, John Lavoie of Tompkinsville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Fowler Ross will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, after 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 2:00 p.m.
