Teresa Joy Netherton

Ms. Teresa Joy Netherton, age 63, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, and formerly of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at her home.  Teresa was born on March 24, 1960, the daughter of the late Royce Leon and Mildred Lucille (Rhoton) Dickerson.  She graduated from Tompkinsville High School in 1978, and attained her Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal, having worked for Steltemeier & Westbrook, PLLC in Nashville, Tennessee.  Teresa enjoyed crocheting and quilting, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandbabies.

Her children survive her, Amanda Renee Thompson and husband Joshua Michael, Jason Hurla Netherton, and wife Stephanie, all of Tompkinsville. Four grandchildren, Daniel Marion Thompson, and companion Haley Lynn Morris, Jaydon Hunter Netherton, River Graham Netherton, Landree Kate Netherton, one sister, Sheila Carter and husband Lewis Darrell, of Tompkinsville, and two brothers, Rodney Dickerson and wife Susan of Lexington, Michael Dickerson and wife Vickie of Stamping Ground, Kentucky.  The father of her children, Charles Hurla Netherton, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, Royce Leon Dickerson and Mildred Lucille (Rhoton) Dickerson, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Dickerson, and one nephew, Jared Dickerson.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023,  at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 9:00 until time for services at 2:00 p.m.
