Tucker Reece Scott, age 18, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday morning, August 28, 2026, at TriStar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Tucker was born at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow on June 27, 2008, a son of Craig Arron Scott, and the late Chasity Renee Copass. Tucker attended Monroe County High School, and at only 18 years of age, he was already a hardworking mechanic who loved to work on anything with an engine. When he wasn’t trading on cars or trucks, you would find him riding dirt bikes or four wheelers, riding mile long wheelies, and leaving burnt rubber anywhere he could get the traction. His love for machines, riding and working with his hands was a big part of who he was.
Tucker is survived by his father, Craig Arron Scott, two sisters, Baylee Scott, Emberlyn Cain and fiancé, Hunter Harwood. His grandparents; Allen and Kim Scott, and Lisa Cawthorn and Tim Copass, all of Tompkinsville. Aunt, Celesta Scott, and uncle, Chris Scott and wife Miranda, nieces and nephews; Wren Turner, Brooks Gearlds, Kori Scott, and Locklynn Harwood. Cousins, Kilee Williams and fiancé Ridge Kennedy, Riggs, Peyton Scott, Rhett Scott, Blakely Kate Kennedy along with a host of extended family and friends also survive.
In addition to his mother, Chasity Renee Gearlds, he was preceded in death by his great-grand parents; Roger and Golda Hall and Ervin and Elizabeth “Betty” Scott, great-uncle, Rodney Scott, and great aunts, Stephanie Miles and Kim Redmon.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Scott’s Pleasant Acres Cemetery. Bro. Dennis Copas and William Yokley will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held on Monday, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., and again after 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with final expenses.
Pallbearers: Sawyer Smith, Axle Smith, Karson Habhab, Ty Page, Westin Ford, Hunter Page, Lane Collins, Peyton Scott, Kason Page, Braden Garrett, Gunnar Young and Hayden Froedge.
Bartley & Sons Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Tucker and his family at this time.
