Virginia Lee Wilson

Mrs. Virginia Lee (Goode) Wilson, age 88, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Virginia was born on February 16, 1935, in Tompkinsville, a daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Strode) Goode. She was a member at the Poplar Log Missionary Baptist Church, and was an avid reader. 

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Taylor Wilson and wife Belle, three sisters-in-law; Brenda Hire, Mary Wilson, and Mary Nell Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Wilson, one daughter, Deborah Kaye Carter, one sister, Runell Kelton, and one grandson, Joe Kelly Fish.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Wilson-Basil Cemetery in Tompkinsville. Bro. Taylor Chandler will officiate the services.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 2:00 p.m. at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home.
