Obituary Wilma Dean Smith, 76, of Tompkinsville, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was born June 27, 1938 in Moss, TN to the late Henry Wilborn Reecer and Velma Walker Reecer. She was a homemaker and attended Tompkinsville Church of Christ. She was united in marriage in May 1954 to Kenneth Smith who preceded her in death on November 29, 1970. She is survived by two sons: Kenny Dwight Smith and wife Joann of Tomball, TX,Ricky D. Smith of Tompkinsville, two daughters: Angela (Shortie) Ritter and husband Jeff of Tompkinsville, Shelia Ann Smith and husband Mickle (Codger) of Tompkinsville, one sister: Ava Proffitt of Tompkinsville, one brother: Roy Reecer of Hermitage Springs, TN, eight grandchildren: Kara Veach, Leah Ritter Mitchell and husband Scotty, Jessica Ritter Sells and husband Joshua, Kensie Smith, Joshua Smith, Amy Craighead and husband A.J., Ashley Grider and husband Nick and Colee Smith, eight great grandchildren: Garrett Veach, Kaleb Mitchell, Jagger Mitchell, Gus Sells, Wesley Smith, Avery Craighead, Alea Craighead and Easton Grider. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers: Ray, Lois and Danny Reecer. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 10 at 11:00 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Moss Cemetery at Moss, TN. Visitation will be after 2:00 PM on Thursday and after 7:30 AM on Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Moss Cemetery.
