Obituary Dorothy Elwanda Wittman Pitcock, 74, of Lafayette, TN passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN.She was born April 19, 1940 in Labelle, Texas to the late Norman Wittman and Emmaline Martha Phelps Wittman. She was co-owner of Pitcock's Food Mart and a member of Gamaliel Baptist Church. She was united in marriage on December 10, 1967 to Harold D. Pitcock in St. Petersburg, FL.She is survived by her husband: Harold D. Pitcock of Lafayette, TN, two sons: Stuart Pitcock and wife Sharon of Gamaliel, Michael Pitcock and wife Joletta of Lafayette, TN, one brother: Jessie Wittman of Winnie, T, four grandchildren: Eli, Ezra, Dylan and Jaxon Pitcock.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother: Harold Wittman and two sisters: Fay Sapp and Dolores Wittman.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 2 at 11:00 AM at the Gamaliel Baptist Church in Gamaliel with burial to follow in the Gamaliel Cemetery.Visitation will be after 12:00 PM on Sunday and after 7:30 AM on Monday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, the body will lie in state at the church after 10:00 AM until time of service.Memorials are suggested to the Gamaliel Elementary School Reading Program.Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville in charge of arrangements. To Harold and Family we want you to know that our hearts go out to you and the boys and their family's. Dorothy's loss will be felt by so many, because she was such a loving soul.
