Maria and family: Heartfelt and deepest sympathy for your loss. Gail was bigger than life and the best/unforgettable soldier in my Army career. Mad Dag was truly loved by his soldiers and he always did what was right. His legacy honors him forever.COL (retired) Dick Hayford12 May 2017

Have just recently learned of the death of a friend and colleague Gail Furrow. So saddened and wish to express our condolences to Maria, Carmen, Greg, Noah, and Morgan. They all are the family members we know and have met personally. Gail was greatly admired by my wife and I as a loving husband, caring Father and successful businessman. He was also a hero to us for his long and distinguished military career and his valor award while saving lives in Vietnam at great peril to his own. We are grateful to the warm hospitality that both he and Maria gave to us as guests at their home. We also treasure the memory of being their guests at the Gaylord Resort during a past New Years Eve celebration. I miss the many conversations we shared with each other concerning family, politics and life in general. We miss you Mad Dog. Tony and Bernadette Scalise. Palos Park, Illinois

Carmen, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your father. Gretchen Baker told me. Her mother went to school with your dad. I didn't know that he was a soldier until recently. I was a helicopter pilot for the Army for 29 years. It was a sad day when you moved out of the Graham school district. Very respectfullyMike MittlebeelerMittlebeeler@hotmail.com
