James Clyde SwaffordObituary James Clyde Swafford, 82, of Adolphus, passed away Friday, April 28, 2014 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY. He was born December 3, 1931 in Wilson County, TN to the late Staley Bedford Swafford and the late Franics Mae Smith Swafford of Wilson County, TN. He was retired as a self employed electrician. He was a member of Abounding Grace Ministries in Allen County. He is Survived by his wife Dorothy Arlene Swafford of Adolphus, KY He is survived by three sons: James Owen Swafford of Nashville, TN, Richard and Danny Wallace of Adolphus, KY, two daughters: Glenda Faye Isley of Elkheart, IN, and Debbie Schimdt of Palm Coast, FL, two brothers: Dave Allen Swafford and Roy Gene, both of Lebanon, TN, three sisters: Mattie (Gertrude) Hudson, of Lebanon, TN, Anna Christene Gooslby, of Auburntown, TN and Hazel Lorraine Swafford, of Watertown, TN. One sister-in-law: Hilda Gunter of Scottsville, KY, Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: John Warren Gunter, Hershell (Gilbert) Swafford, and Claude Swafford.Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 28 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville with burial to follow in the Allen County Memorial Garden.Visitation will be after 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 27th, 2014 and after 7:30AM on Monday, April 28th, 2014 at the Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville.Memorials are suggested to the Abounding Grace Ministries in Allen County.
