Obituary Loyce Earl Welch, 73, of Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, November 11 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.He was born September 20, 1942 in Monroe County, KY to the late Haskel Welch and Ina Copas Welch Riley. He was a retired supervisor for AT&T and had served in the Army National Guard Btry A 4th Bn 138th Arty. He was united in marriage on February 2, 1962 to the former Geneva Davis.He is survived by his wife: Geneva Welch of Tompkinsville, two sisters: Sue Carter and Teresa Botts both of Tompkinsville, several nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son: Earl Dwayne Welch and two brothers: Bobby Riley and Danny Joe Riley.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 14 at 1:30 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Harlans Crossroads Cemetery.Visitation will be after 4:00 PM on Friday and after 7:30 AM on Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the Harlans Crossroads Cemetery. Sorry to hear about the passing of Loyce.I remember when you and Loycewould pick Janice and myself up at the Trailer park and then we would takeyour son to the babysitters and then go on to Western Electric.I have nothingbut good memories of you and Loyce.Take care of yourself and I know he will be missed.My Husband had him as a supervisor and he said he was one of the geat ones.
