I'm so sorry for your loss. I had no idea Mildred had passed. I was shocked to see this today. I was away from home. So sorry again my love and prayers are with each of you.

I met Mildred at her home in 2012 when I was in Tompkinsville doing research on the Maxey family. I'm a U.S. Army veteran and military historian from Michigan. Mildred was very sweet and helpful. Her 3rd great grandfather, William Maxey was a Revolutionary War soldier whom will be honored by the The Daughters of the American Revolution on October 3 at the Maxey Cemetery near Turkey Neck Bend Rd and Cole road. I took the attached photo of Mildred when I was there. My condolences to her family.
