Obituary Patricia Humes Proffitt, age 63, of Tompkinsville, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green.She was born January 8, 1951 in Monroe Count, KY to Christine Davis Humes and the late Scott Humes. She was a retired factory worker for Belden Wire & Cable and a member of Germany Church of Christ.She is survived by her mother: Christine Humes, one daughter: Julie Nuckols and husband Randy, one brother: Gary Humes and wife Zena, two grandsons: Brison and Brodryck Nuckols all of Tompkinsville, two nieces: Shana Hodges and husband Bryan of Glasgow, Lakala Humes of Knoxville, TN, two nephews: Trevor Humes of Tompkinsville and Mike Humes, Jr. and wife Tracy of Bowling Green.In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one brother: Michael Humes.Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 2 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.Visitation will be after 2:00 PM on Tuesday and after 7:30 AM on Wednesday at Strode Funeral Home Chapel in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library or the American Cancer Society. She was one of our consin's, because there were so many boys she acted tough she would be mean to you in front everybody else but would do anything for you, all you had to do was ask. Just like her mom. I remember growing up with her the ,power went out one time she got all the quits in the house got all of us under them told us scary stories till we fell a sleep. Then her dad came in and put us to bed when he came in from work.
