Obituary Roxie Ann Crawford Sprowls, 94, of Tompkinsville, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.She was born May 30, 1920 in Monroe County, KY to the late Kirk Crawford and Mellie Kerr Crawford. She was a homemaker and a member of the Lyons Chapel Church of Christ. She was the widow of Austin Ervin Sprowls.She is survived by six daughters: Willadean McPherson, Bonnie McClendon and husband Tommy, Sherri Hagan and husband James, Annie Thompson, Pattie Walden all of Tompkinsville, Kathleen Monday and husband Jimmy of Indianapolis, IN, one daughter-in-law: Jane Sprowls of Tompkinsville, 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son: Tim Lee Sprowls, two sons-in-law: Jackie McPherson and James Walden, two daughters: Mary Sprowls and Amelia Jean Montgomery, two brothers: Hubert and Buford Crawford, four sisters: Lovie Jackson, Ollia Mae Geralds, Willie Dodson and Eula Dodson.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, Aug. 10 at 2:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial LawnVisitation will be after 5:00 PM on Friday and after 8:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
