Obituary Ruby Bowman Boswell, 87, of Louisville, KY passed away Sunday, March 9th . She was a native of Decatur, Illinois, living in Tompkinsville and Louisville, KY most of her adult life. She was employed by Key Work Clothes in Tompkinsville, KY for 13 years. Additionally, she worked for the states of Illinois and Kentucky, receiving the Medal of Merit Award from the Kentucky Department of Military Affairs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Eva Marshall, brothers, George Marshall and Raymond Marshall Jr., daughter Shirley Culton, her husbands, John Bowman and Kenneth Boswell. She is survived by two sons, Gary (Julie) Bowman and John (Laura) Bowman, brother Edward (Norma) Marshall, sisters-in-law, Bonnie (Johnny) Ralph and Bobby Bowman, two step sons, Paul (Barbara) Boswell and Sandy (Karen) Boswell, one step daughter, Sally Boswell, five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and she will also be missed by several great grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, March 13th, at 2:00 PM at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.Visitation will be after 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 12th, and after 7:30 AM on Thursday, March 13th, at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Expressions of sympathy may be made to Mt. Paul Boswell and family ... I will always remember Ruby at family birthday gatherings and how much she loved all of you. She always had a smile to offer and hugged me like I belonged to her too. May God hold each of you close, comfort you and give you peace as only He can. Holding you all close in thought and prayers.
