Stevie Wayne Simmons

Obituary Stevie Wayne Simmons, 57, of Mt. Hermon, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. He was born July 9, 1957 in Monroe County, KY to the late Ora Elizabeth Burton Simmons and Mitchell Simmons. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, H.A.M. Henderson Lodge 515 and Bethlehem Eastern Star. He was united in marriage on May 6, 1975to Kathy Cross Simmons who preceded him in death on January 1, 2014. He is survived by one daughter: Crystal Gail Simmons of Mt. Hermon, one son: Josh Pedigo of N. C., two brothers: Doug Simmons of Mt. Hermon, Kenny Simmons of Michigan and one sister: Lesia Sedoris of Ohio. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two brothers: Roger Dale and Danny Mitchell Simmons and one sister: Barbara Jean Ryherd. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 31 at 1:00 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Turner Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Friday and after 7:30 AM on Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Memorials are suggested to the Turner Cemetery.
