Hermon Marrs Rhoton
Mr. Hermon Marrs Rhoton, age 83, of Moss, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his home. Hermon was born in Monroe County on October 2, 1938, a son of the late Oliver and Liddie (Rich) Rhoton. Hermon was a Farmer, and enjoyed logging and working alongside his sons. He was a member of Pine Hill Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years; JoAnna Brown Rhoton, his four children; Dennis Rhoton and Hope Key, Joey Rhoton and wife Lisa, Angie Browning and husband Jason, and Jeff Rhoton and wife Amy, all of Moss, Tennessee. Nineteen grandchildren; Lindsey Woosley and Bert, Megan Bryant and Adam, Ethan, Jess, and Jeb Rhoton, Kelsey Rhoton and JD Adams, Jared Browning and Chelsea, Ashlynn, Owen, and Wyatt Browning, Chad Rhoton and Kendal, Emilea Rhoton, Joel Plumlee, Thomas Hammock, Landon Carr, Colton Carr, Brittney Poindexter, Tiffany Halsell, and Brandi Key. Ten great-grandchildren; Allie Jo and Eli Emberton, Ellie Woosley, Frazier Poindexter, Collin and Kylee Bryant, Remi Browning, Zeak Adams, Baylor Marcum, Nash Hasell, and three on the way also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Bedford and Walter Rhoton, and one infant sister; Gladys Rhoton
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky with burial to follow in The Moore Cemetery in Moss, Tennessee. Bro. Dale Strong and Shane Smith will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the funeral home, and again on Tuesday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the time for services at 2:00 p.m.
