Jenetta Davis Wilson

Mrs. Jenetta (Davis) Wilson, age 82, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center surrounded by family.  Jenetta was born on January 18, 1940, the daughter of the late Bethel and Hazel (Netherton) Davis.  She graduated from Tompkinsville High School in 1958 and married Bobbie Gene Wilson on January 18, 1959.  Jenetta had a special love for her family, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and there weren’t too many events in their lives that Bobbie and Jenetta didn’t make it a priority to attend.  She enjoyed traveling, whether it be across town or across the country, she was always ready to go.  She was a member of Persimmon Homemakers for several years, where she shared her love for gardening and flowers. Jenetta was a devout member of Tompkinsville Church of Christ and held a special place in her heart for all of her church family.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Bobbie Gene Wilson, and three children; Sandra Clements and husband Steve, Larry Wilson and his wife Terri Lynn, and Amy Thompson and her husband Brad, all of Tompkinsville.  Seven grandchildren; Russ & Cierra Clements, Jenna & Nathan Slagle, Neil & Meredith Wilson, Chad & Sydney Wilson, Sara & Ben Leftwich, Sydney Thompson, and Wade Thompson, and seven great-grandchildren; Wren, Merritt, Hattie, and Greer Slagle, Ella & Grady Clements, and Hank Wilson one sister, Geneva Welch, and one brother; Mike Davis and his wife Lisa, both of Tompkinsville also survive.

In addition to her parents; Bethel and Hazel (Netherton) Davis, she was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Garth Davis.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, from Bartley & Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn.  Dale Pollard and Neal Mathis will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, and again on Friday morning after 7:00 a.m. until the time for services at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tompkinsville Church of Christ in Honor of Jenetta.

Pallbearers: Russ Clements, Neil and Chad Wilson, Wade Thompson, Ben Leftwich, Nathan Slagle, Eric, and Christopher Davis.
